LAWRENCE A. SANTI, DPM
Dr. Lawrence Santi has been practicing podiatry for over 30 years and is well known in the podiatry community. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery, and is a Founding Member of the American Society of Podiatric Surgeons. He is a board member of the American Podiatric Medical Association as well as the Past-President of the New York State Podiatric Medical Association, Past President of the Foundation for Podiatric Medicine, and Past President of the American Association of Hospital Podiatrists.
Dr. Santi is currently the Chief of Podiatry at New York Community Hospital of Brooklyn and is the Director of their Podiatric Residency Program. He has been training residents for over 25 years and is a prominent lecturer in his field. Dr. Santi is a consultant at the Wound Care Center of Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center in Brooklyn, and a Senior Attending at the Diabetic Clinic of the Cumberland Diagnostic & Treatment Center, a part of Woodhull Hospital Center of Brooklyn. He has been specializing in Diabetic Limb Salvage for over 30 years.
Dr. Santi was born and raised in Flushing New York. He attended St. John’s University for his undergraduate education and followed his passion for medicine to the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in New York City. Dr. Santi graduated from podiatry school in 1979 after which he completed his surgical residency training at Coney Island Hospital in Brooklyn.
JOSEPH J. SANTI, DPM
Dr. Joseph Santi is a podiatrist who specializes in reconstructive foot surgery. He is a double board certified podiatrist. He is board certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery (ABFAS) as well as the American Board of Podiatric Medicine (ABPM). Dr. Joseph Santi possesses the skills and knowledge to treat various foot and ankle conditions. He completed his residency training at New York Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn where he served as chief resident. He is experienced in all facets of foot and ankle care including sports injuries, trauma, limb salvage and pediatric conditions.
Dr. Joseph Santi believes in given back to the community and has spent countless hours volunteering. He was a medical volunteer at various events such as the ING NYC Marathon, ING NYC Triathalon, NYC March of Dimes, Long Island Polar Plunge and the NYC Diabetes Expo at the Jacob Javits Center. Dr. Joseph Santi earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine Degree from New York College of Podiatric Medicine where he was honored for making the dean’s list all four years, and graduating cum laude.
While at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine, Dr. Santi was a member of the Pi Delta National Honor Society, and served as President of the NYCPM Diabetes Club. Dr. Joseph Santi was also his class representative to the New York State Podiatric Medical Association. Dr. Santi received his Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from St. John’s University where he graduated magna cum laude and was honored on the dean’s list.
EDNER F. REGISTRE, DPM
Dr. Edner Registre is a Board Certified podiatrist specializing in foot and ankle surgery. Dr. Registre has a special interest in diabetic foot surgery. He joined the profession largely because diabetes is a major public health issue that terribly affects the lower extremity. Dr. Registre received his residency training at New York Community Hospital where he served the chief resident in his 3rd year. He earned his Podiatric Medical degree from, The New York College of Podiatric Medicine where he held membership in the Sports medicine and Surgery Clubs. Dr. Registre is an active member of the community and has been seen volunteering at many community events in Brooklyn as well as his hometown on Long Island. He is an avid fitness enthusiast and as such has a keen interest in sports medicine of the foot and ankle. Male Initiative program and mentors at risk youth. He actively anticipates in community health fairs as well as volunteers his services at community events around the city. Dr. Registre is your Community Podiatrist.
